Mathew Goodwin, MBA, B.S.

Board Vice President, Co-founder

Mathew holds a Bachelor’s in Pre-Medical Biology from Providence College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. As an independent researcher, his work focuses on examining the role of hospitals and the impact of inadequate informed proxy consent in cases of unnecessary genital surgeries on children. A parent of two, Mathew’s firsthand experience with hospital systems fueled his advocacy, leading him to co-found GALDEF in 2022. Through this initiative, he aims to empower parents and patients harmed by unnecessary genital surgeries to seek legal recourse and drive systemic change for a more ethical and equitable healthcare future.
